Why a guide to teaching languages online
I’m ready to reveal my small secrets as I transition from providing online instruction to managing my website. After four years of instruction and over 1600 completed online classes, I feel qualified to write a guide about teaching languages on Italki. My qualifications are listed in the Italki evaluation.
Other reviews and recommendations of a similar nature do exist, but they lack firsthand experience guidance because they are either out of date or limited to “housekeeping” features such as sign-up processes.
Why do you teach languages online?
Workplace devotion
Teaching languages online is an appealing option if you have the freedom to choose your job based on your interests rather than just making a living. If you love speaking with people from all over the world and are passionate about your native language, you could make an excellent tutor. You could become a professional teacher with additional training.
Location-independent
Because of the internet, you can now work from anywhere in the world. Yes, you can work and travel at the same time. Digital nomads come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The most common occupations are programmers, web designers, graphic designers, translators, and teachers.
Reasonable rates?
There are well-paid professionals in every job category, as well as regular guys who barely make ends meet. Although online teaching does not pay extremely high hourly rates, you can still command reasonable rates if you market yourself properly. This guide will also help you with that.
