YouTube has been one of my favorite platforms to learn French. YouTubers, with their creative content and fun methods, provide better clarity to learn a language.
A language is best learned when there is an opportunity to listen.
Although the traditional method of learning emphasizes skills like writing and speaking, we learn to write efficiently by reading more and in the same way, we learn to speak efficiently by listening more.
Why YouTube is the best resource out there
Movies, series, podcast, music, and YouTube serves as a great platform for us to listen and get familiar with the sounds and pronunciation of any language.
They help us to get comfortable with the most common phrases, expose us to new words, allows us to learn their culture, style, and much more, and all at the comfort of our homes.
However, I feel YouTube tops the list for various reasons. First and foremost, you get free access to all those amazing content and vlogs.
Secondly, with their useful tips and unique ways to learn, it becomes more feasible to adapt ourselves to the language. At this rate, you learn to avoid few mistakes that they made when they started learning a language.
On that note, I want to share with you my top 5 favorite YouTubers who helped me when I started learning French and are still helping.

1.Alice Ayel
Alice is a language teacher with an experience of more than 15 years. Her motive is to teach French the natural way.
Her teachings and content mainly target beginners. It is extremely useful for people who are just starting to learn French.
Her videos are mostly in the form of stories with cute drawings and it is always oriented with a theme. Sometimes, she also invites people to share their experiences with languages.
As a beginner, it can be really hard to follow audios in French mostly because it is so fast. However, Alice makes it look easy, her narrations are slow and easy to comprehend.
So if you have just started to learn French and feel like you are listening to gibberish when you tune in to French audios, then you know where to go.
2. Damon Dominique
Damon is a travel vlogger and blogger who lives in Paris. His vlogs mainly revolve around languages, his life in Paris, philosophy, and a lot about traveling. Despite speaking five languages, he has confessed his love for French by providing some extremely useful content to learn French.
Living in Paris, he helps us to learn the French tips we ought to know and the French that people are speaking contrary to the French in our textbooks.

If you want to learn French authentically then easy French is your guide. This channel is more or less like an interview with random people in the streets.
They ask simple questions like introduce yourself in French, favorite weekend activities, French food, etc. They also do comparison videos to explore cultural differences between countries. It helps us to have an insight on how to answer all the basic questions in French.
This channel covers all the necessary questions that are part of our day-to-day activities. We also get to see the different views of people to the same question thereby enabling us to figure out different answers to a question.
