Marco quiere ser doctor
Durante una cena familiar, la tía Adela le hace a Marco, su sobrino, algunas preguntas.
Adela: Marco, querido, ¡mira cuánto has crecido! ¿Cuántos años tienes ahora?
Marco: ¡Hola tía! Ahora tengo trece.
A: ¡Oh, Dios! ¡Cómo pasa el tiempo! Entonces, el próximo año, ¿comenzarás la escuela secundaria?
M: Sí.
A: ¿Y qué escuela elegiste?
M: Elegí una escuela secundaria científica.
A: ¿De verdad? ¿Te gustan las Matemáticas?
M: No realmente, pero me gusta la Ciencia y la Biología.
A: Eso es bueno ¿Qué quieres ser cuando seas grande? ¿Un científico?
M: ¡No, quiero ser médico! Quiero curar a los enfermos.
A: ¡Excelente! Entonces, tienes que trabajar muy duro. Y luego ir a la universidad y estudiar medicina. Se necesitan muchos años de estudio y compromiso.
M: Lo sé. Pero verás que me convertiré en un muy buen médico.
A: ¡Estoy segura de eso!
What do you want to be when you grow up?
During a family dinner, Aunt Adele asks Marco, her nephew, some questions.
Adele: Marco, dear, look how much you’ve grown! How old are you now?
Marco: Hi aunt! I’m thirteen now.
A: ¡Oh, God! How time flies! So, next year, you’re starting high school?
M: Yes.
A: And what school did you choose?
M: I chose a scientific high school.
A: Really? You like maths?
M: Not really, but I like science and biology.
A: That’s good. What do you want to be when you grow up? A scientist?
M: No, I want to be a doctor! I want to cure sick people.
A: Excellent! Then, you have to work really hard. And then go to university and study medicine. It takes many years of study and commitment.
M: I know. But you will see that I will become a very good doctor!
A: I’m sure of it!
