Este verano vio las temperaturas más altas jamás registradas en el hemisferio norte. Esta ola de calor sin precedentes fue causada por nuestra gravísima crisis climática. De hecho, los fenómenos atmosféricos extremos (como ciclones y huracanes) son cada vez más frecuentes.
Los incendios peligrosos en California son cada vez más frecuentes y el hielo polar se está derritiendo a un ritmo muy alto. Estos y otros fenómenos están relacionados, al menos en parte, con el aumento global de las temperaturas.
Cada vez más personas en todo el mundo se están dando cuenta de la gravedad de la situación. Y se buscan soluciones e ideas para mejorar las cosas.
The hottest summer ever
2020 is a year that will be remembered for a long time, for many different reasons. Though, unfortunately, not for any good reasons.
This summer saw the highest temperatures ever recorded in the Northern Hemisphere. This record-breaking heat wave was caused by our very serious climate crisis. In fact, extreme atmospheric phenomena (such as cyclones and hurricanes) are becoming ever more frequent.
Dangerous fires in California are becoming more frequent, and the polar ice is melting at a very high rate. These and other phenomena are at least partly linked to the global rise in temperatures.
More and more people around the world are realizing how serious the situation is. And solutions and ideas are being sought to change things for the better.
